OBJECTIVE: COMPLETE, PERFECT, MAKE WORK, RETURN, RESCUE … THOSE TEXTS THAT PLAYWRIGHTS HAVE IN THE DRAWER.

AIMED AT: PLAYWRIGHTS WHO START, PLAYWRIGHTS TO BE WHO COME WITH A DRAMATIC TEXT HALF FINNISHED OR FINNISHED BUT THAT DOESN’T WORK.

 

Marco Antonio de la Parra is a Chilean Playwright, Novelist, Essayist, Actor, Director and Psychiatrist. His dramatic works include “The secret obscenity of each day”, “Monogamy”, “The angel of guilt”, “Little history of Chile”, “Australia”, among others. He has published such novels as “Forbidden Bodies” and “The Christ entering Brussels”. He has won several awards, such as the Guggenheim scholarship, the Max (2003) from Spain, the one from the Chilean National Book Council and the Saulo Benavente from Argentina (2004). He is the head of different playwriting groups at universities and independently. He has taught workshops in various countries all over the world. He is a full member of the Academy of Fine Arts of the Institute of Chile. He has ventured into television and film through screenplays and as a scriptwriter coordinator. He is currently the director of the Literature career at the Finis Terrae University in Santiago de Chile.
